Overview

• PM-SETU commits Rs 60,000 crore to modernise 1,000 government ITIs through 200 hubs linked to 800 spokes, with World Bank and ADB support and initial focus on Patna and Darbhanga.
• 1,200 vocational skill labs were inaugurated across Navodaya Vidyalayas and Eklavya Model Residential Schools in 34 states and UTs, alongside training for 1,200 vocational teachers.
• In Bihar, a revamped stipend plan offers Rs 1,000 per month for two years plus free skilling to about five lakh graduates annually, and a redesigned Student Credit Card provides interest‑free loans up to Rs 4 lakh.
• The Bihta campus of NIT Patna was dedicated with facilities including a 5G use-case lab, an ISRO-linked Regional Academic Centre for Space, and an innovation and incubation centre.
• Over 4,000 Bihar government recruits received appointment letters and Rs 450 crore in scholarships was transferred to 25 lakh Class 9–10 students, alongside the launch of Bihar Yuva Ayog and a new state skill university.
