Overview
- In Itanagar, the Prime Minister laid foundation stones and virtually inaugurated 13 projects valued at about Rs 5,127 crore during a public event at Indira Gandhi Park.
- The Heo (240 MW) and Tato‑I (186 MW) hydropower projects, costing roughly Rs 1,939 crore and Rs 1,750 crore, will be built by NEEPCO with the Arunachal government to generate around 1,803 million units a year.
- Officials said the state expects more than Rs 98 crore annually in free power plus over Rs 16 crore for a Local Area Development Fund once the plants are commissioned.
- Modi also launched a Rs 145–147 crore integrated convention centre in Tawang with capacity for over 1,500 delegates, aimed at boosting tourism and cultural events.
