Overview

• At a Krishi programme at IARI in New Delhi, the Prime Minister formally rolled out PM Dhan Dhaanya Krishi Yojana (Rs 24,000 crore) and the Mission for Aatmanirbharta in Pulses (Rs 11,440 crore).
• PM Dhan Dhaanya will focus on 100 districts with support for productivity gains, crop diversification, sustainable practices, irrigation, storage at panchayat and block level, and access to credit.
• The pulses mission seeks higher yields, an expanded sown area, and a stronger procurement‑to‑processing chain to cut losses.
• Modi inaugurated projects worth over Rs 5,450 crore and laid foundation stones for about Rs 815 crore, including AI training centers, dairy plants, a fish feed plant, and cold chain and processing infrastructure across multiple states.
• The day’s launches and project work together comprise a government push valued at over Rs 42,000 crore across agriculture and allied sectors, according to official releases.
