Overview

• A total of Rs 7,500 crore was disbursed via DBT after a virtual launch, with Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and state leaders participating from Patna.
• Beneficiaries were selected from 3.06 crore applications, with implementation routed through Jeevika under the Rural Development Department and urban execution overseen by the Urban Development and Housing Department.
• The scheme targets one woman per family to start livelihood activities, pairing seed grants with training by SHG-linked community resource persons.
• Follow-on support of up to Rs 2 lakh will be considered after a six-month assessment, and the state plans Gramin Haat-Bazaars to help market women’s products.
• In a parallel rollout, Haryana launched the Deen Dayal Lado Lakshmi Yojana offering Rs 2,100 per month, targeting about 20 lakh women in the first phase with app-based registration and helplines reporting early uptake.
