Modi government launches nationwide outreach to mark 11 years of welfare reforms

  • Over 25 crore people have been lifted out of poverty through flagship schemes such as PM Awas Yojana, Ujjwala Yojana, Jan Dhan Yojana and Ayushman Bharat.
  • Digital reforms including Direct Benefit Transfer and Aadhaar integration have plugged leakages, while rural infrastructure upgrades have accelerated benefit delivery to the last mile.
  • The 2025–26 budget raised the zero-tax threshold to ₹12.75 lakh, increased the standard deduction and introduced a unified pension scheme for government employees.
  • Key achievements include sanctioning 11.6 million urban homes under PMAY-U and issuing 410 million Ayushman cards that have facilitated 85.9 million hospital admissions.
