Maruti Suzuki’s First EV – eVitara

Overview

  • Series production of the e‑Vitara has begun at Maruti Suzuki’s Hansalpur facility after the Prime Minister inaugurated the assembly line.
  • Exports to more than 100 countries are confirmed, with initial consignments reported to depart via Pipavav port for European markets and shipments to Japan also in scope.
  • Suzuki Motor announced a ₹70,000 crore investment in India over the next five to six years to expand capacity and introduce new models.
  • The Hansalpur complex is being developed toward a planned output of about 1 million vehicles annually to serve global demand.
  • The electric SUV will be offered with 49 kWh and 61 kWh LFP battery options, single- and dual-motor variants, and features such as Level‑2 ADAS and seven airbags.
