Modi Chairs Day Two of Chief Secretaries’ Meet Focused on Human Capital

  • Prime Minister Narendra Modi led Saturday’s sessions of the three-day conference in New Delhi and noted on X that discussions on governance and reforms were insightful.
  • The fifth edition is themed Human Capital for Viksit Bharat with detailed work on early childhood education, schooling, skilling, higher education, and sports and extracurriculars.
  • Six special sessions cover deregulation in states, technology in governance with risk mitigation, AgriStack for supply chains and market linkages, a flagship tourist destination per state, Atmanirbhar and Swadeshi, and planning for a post-LWE future.
  • Focused deliberations are also examining heritage and manuscript digitisation and integrating AYUSH knowledge into primary healthcare delivery.
  • Chief secretaries from all states and UTs are attending alongside senior central officials including P. K. Mishra and Cabinet Secretary T. V. Somanathan, with outcomes to be consolidated at the conference close.
