Overview
- Prime Minister Narendra Modi is in Gujarat from January 10 to 12, starting with Omkar mantra chanting and a drone show at Somnath, followed by the Shaurya Yatra and a public event on January 11.
- On January 11, Modi is scheduled to inaugurate the Vibrant Gujarat regional conference in Rajkot and the remaining stretch of Ahmedabad Metro Phase 2 at Mahatma Mandir metro station.
- German Chancellor Friedrich Merz will make his first official visit to India on January 12–13 at Modi’s invitation, meeting Modi in Ahmedabad on January 12.
- The leaders plan to visit Sabarmati Ashram at 9:30 am, attend the International Kite Festival at 10:00 am, and begin bilateral talks from 11:15 am at Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar.
