Overview
- According to the PMO schedule, the leaders visit Sabarmati Ashram at 9:30 am on January 12 before inaugurating the festival at the Sabarmati Riverfront at 10:00 am, followed by bilateral talks from 11:15 am at Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar.
- Organisers report 1,071 participants, including 135 international kite flyers from 50 countries, with the largest groups from Chile, Colombia and the Republic of Korea.
- International flyers include participants from Russia, Ukraine, Israel, Jordan, Australia and Indonesia, alongside teams from multiple Indian states and districts of Gujarat.
- Programme highlights include night kite flying on January 13 and a heritage-themed venue at Vallabh Sadan featuring a handicraft market, a kite museum and 25 craft stalls plus 15 food stalls.
- Talks will review 25 years of the India–Germany Strategic Partnership with a focus on trade, investment, technology, education, mobility, defence, security, science, innovation and green development, as well as exchanges with business leaders.
