Overview
- The attack was reported around 8:18 a.m. Wednesday at a home on Old Spring Road in Murrieta.
- The wife told 911 she was stabbed in the head with a screwdriver and her husband was stabbed with a knife.
- Officers identified the suspect as 36-year-old Manuel Arturo Alvarez of Modesto and booked him into the Cois Byrd Detention Center, where reports say he is being held without bail.
