Model Luciana Curtis and Family Kidnapped in Brazil, Freed After 12-Hour Ordeal

Luciana Curtis, a New York-based model, her husband Henrique Gendre, and their 11-year-old child were kidnapped by armed men after leaving a restaurant in São Paulo's Alto da Lapa neighborhood.
The family was held overnight in a wooden shack in the Brasilândia district, where they were forced to transfer money from their bank accounts to the kidnappers.
The eldest daughter, who was not present during the abduction, alerted relatives and police when the family did not return home, prompting a search effort.
The kidnappers abandoned the family as police closed in on the area; the family sought help from locals to reach safety and report the incident.
No arrests have been made, and police are investigating the case, including analyzing CCTV footage from the restaurant and surrounding areas.
