Overview
- A developer known as VoidTech published a Bilibili video showing a modified RTX Spark Arm64 driver making a GeForce RTX 4060 usable on a Huawei Qingyun W510 running Windows 11 Arm, with DirectX 12, Vulkan and CUDA reported working.
- The GPU was detected and Windows flagged the driver as WHQL-style, but VoidTech could not get the card to produce a direct video signal so he used Sunshine and Moonlight game streaming to view the system headlessly.
- Gaming ran poorly because the workstation used a Kunpeng 920 server CPU with weak single-thread performance and because x86 games must run under translation on Arm Windows, producing low frame rates such as roughly 20–25 FPS in tested titles.
- The experiment exposed system gaps unrelated to the GPU driver: broken ACPI tables and missing Windows drivers for the Linux-targeted workstation, missing encoder/display support in the Spark driver, and failures with kernel-level anti-cheat in some games.
- Reporters say the demo is a technical proof of concept that confirms NVIDIA has Arm client drivers and that more polished Spark-based consumer devices and official drivers later in 2026 could enable discrete GPU support on Windows on Arm, but significant software and platform work remains.
