  • An undercover Special Staff team led by Inspector Rajinder Singh Dagar conducted a civil-dress operation on August 4 based on intelligence of a large illicit liquor stash at Kailash’s Gautampuri residence.
  • Kailash, his wife Seeta, associate Sameer, and a 17-year-old juvenile allegedly mobilized a mob that attacked officers with lathis, bricks, and stones.
  • Constables Lakhan and Satbir suffered head and back injuries and were treated at Apollo Hospital in Sarita Vihar before being declared stable.
  • Delhi Police reinforcements contained the violence and apprehended the four key suspects while other bootlegging network members escaped the scene.
  • Security has been bolstered across southeast Delhi as authorities continue door-to-door searches and a manhunt for remaining traffickers.
