MLS Unveils 2026 Schedule, Sets Miami Freedom Park Opening for April 4

Apple TV will carry every regular-season match without a Season Pass during a campaign built around a World Cup pause.

Overview

  • The season opens February 21 with Inter Miami visiting LAFC at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.
  • Inter Miami’s new 25,000-seat Miami Freedom Park debuts April 4 against Austin FC after five straight road games to start the year.
  • MLS will stage a World Cup break with no matches scheduled from May 25 to July 16, then resumes with rivalry games, the All-Star Game in Charlotte on July 29, and Decision Day on November 7.
  • The postseason is slated to begin after the November 18 FIFA window, with the league saying playoffs will proceed without interruption.
  • All 510 regular-season matches will stream on Apple TV in 100+ countries without a separate Season Pass, while select games air on FOX, TSN and RDS, and the league targets a shift to a summer-to-spring calendar in 2027–28; Miami’s stadium is the first of three openings, followed by NYCFC in 2027 and Chicago in 2028.
