Overview

  • More than 85,000 tickets have been sold for the MLB Speedway Classic, positioning it to surpass the 84,587 single-game attendance mark set in 1954.
  • Crews completed construction of a regulation diamond between Turns 3 and 4, installing 18,000 tons of gravel, 124,000 square feet of artificial turf and 300 tons of clay.
  • The Braves and Reds will sport custom NASCAR-inspired jerseys and helmets, participate in driver-style introductions and mark the winner with a victory-lane celebration.
  • Two pregame concert stages will feature Tim McGraw and Pitbull along with Jake Owen, Reyna Roberts and Adam Doleac before the 7:15 p.m. first pitch.
  • Fox will start national coverage at 6 p.m. ET, deploying drone, high-angle and in-car cameras to showcase both the on-field action and the speedway setting.
