MLB To Honor Negro Leagues Great Willie Mays in 2024 Game at Historic Rickwood Field

MLB will stage a Negro Leagues tribute game between the San Francisco Giants and the St. Louis Cardinals at Rickwood Field in Birmingham, Alabama on June 20, 2024.
The game will honor Hall of Famer Willie Mays, who began his pro career with the Birmingham Black Barons, and coincides with Juneteenth.
Both teams will wear period uniforms relating to the Negro Leagues history of their cities.
Rickwood Field was home to the Birmingham Black Barons from 1924 to 1960 and is the oldest pro ballpark still in use.
MLB is working with Birmingham groups to renovate Rickwood Field ahead of the game, which will air nationally on FOX.
