MLB Releases 2027 Schedule With Earliest Full Opening Day

Set dates for the season’s marquee moments come with a provisional timetable tied to the collective bargaining agreement’s Dec. 1 expiration.

  • MLB released the full 2027 regular-season schedule on Thursday, July 16, 2026, opening the season with a Wednesday, March 24 game on Netflix and a traditional Opening Day on Thursday, March 25.
  • The league fixed marquee events including the Home Run Derby on July 12 and the 97th All-Star Game at Wrigley Field on July 13, and it scheduled Rivalry Weekend and the second-half resumption for July 15–18 with ESPN carrying early second-half games.
  • Clubs followed with team-level dates: the Minnesota Twins will open on March 25 at Kansas City with a Target Field home opener on April 2, and the Boston Red Sox will open on March 25 in Seattle and host Fenway’s home opener on April 1.
