Overview
- MLB slated 28 exhibitions on March 3-4 between clubs and national teams preparing for the World Baseball Classic, including Giants–Team USA, Dodgers–Mexico, Red Sox–Puerto Rico, Astros–Venezuela, Phillies–Canada, Orioles–Netherlands, Reds–Cuba, Yankees–Panama, Tigers–Panama, Padres–Great Britain and Rockies–Team USA.
- The third Spring Breakout prospect showcase runs March 19-22, with matchups such as Yankees prospects vs. Braves prospects, Orioles prospects vs. Red Sox prospects and Brewers prospects vs. Mariners prospects.
- Several late-spring exhibitions will be staged at major-league parks March 22-24, including the Dodgers–Angels Freeway Series, an Orioles–Nationals home-and-home, Royals at Rangers, Guardians at Diamondbacks and Reds at Brewers.
- Unusual travel adds variety to camp, with the Yankees playing the Cubs in Mesa on March 23-24, the Tigers visiting the Rockies in Scottsdale on the same dates and the A’s hosting the Angels in Las Vegas on March 7-8.
- The slate opens Feb. 20 with a limited set of games across Arizona and Florida, then expands to all 30 teams on Feb. 21 as clubs finalize tuneups ahead of Opening Day on March 26.
