MLB Attendance Rises for Second Consecutive Year, Reaching 71 Million

MLB's 2024 season saw a total attendance of 71.35 million, marking a 0.9% increase from 2023.
Los Angeles Dodgers led the league with 3.94 million attendees, followed by Philadelphia, San Diego, New York Yankees, and Atlanta.
New rule changes, including a pitch clock and larger bases, have contributed to the rise in attendance and faster game times.
Oakland Athletics recorded the lowest attendance with 922,286 in their final season before moving to Sacramento.
Television viewership also increased, with ESPN’s Sunday night telecasts up 6% and MLB.TV streaming minutes up 14%.
