  • He testified that Police Minister Senzo Mchunu ordered the KZN political killings task team disbanded on December 31, 2024, as 121 investigation dockets were later found moved to Pretoria.
  • WhatsApp records presented to the inquiry show businessman Brown Mogotsi had police material and foreknowledge of the disbandment and docket transfers, including messages referencing delivery of 121 dockets to Deputy Commissioner Shadrack Sibiya.

  • He alleged former police minister Bheki Cele tried to derail the disciplinary case against Crime Intelligence head Feroz Khan by pressing for General Jabu Khumalo’s removal to Gauteng, though Khan was ultimately cleared in the hearing Mkhwanazi chaired.
  • He cited a magistrate’s unusual bail condition barring accused from all Crime Intelligence premises as evidence of interference and accused MP Fadiel Adams of unauthorised access and reckless use of classified intelligence, while defending his July combat attire as a deliberate show of resolve.
