  • The seized methamphetamine, commonly known as 'party drugs,' was reportedly smuggled from Myanmar and intended for distribution in Indian metropolitan cities and international markets.
  • A case has been filed under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, with the vehicle and ₹2,89,500 in cash also confiscated during the operation.
  • In a separate incident in Manipur, security forces seized 1.3 kg of heroin in Churachandpur district and arrested a 29-year-old suspect, highlighting ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking along the porous Indo-Myanmar border.
