Overview
- Mitsubishi confirmed a sequential European launch before the end of 2025 for the new Eclipse Cross EV, which will be manufactured at Renault’s ElectriCity Douai plant and marks the brand’s first vehicle built in France.
- The compact SUV uses the Alliance’s AmpR/CMF‑EV platform and debuts with an 87 kWh battery, a 160 kW front motor, a WLTP range of about 600 km, and charging up to 150 kW DC and 22 kW AC.
- A medium-range version with a 60 kWh battery and 125 kW output is scheduled for 2026.
- A local spokesperson said the model is intended for Europe only and is not planned for Australia at this time.
- Alliance leaders said Douai is preparing both the Eclipse Cross EV and Nissan’s new Micra EV for late‑2025 launches, as the €550 million site now builds six electric models for four brands with 100% EV production since May 2023.
