Overview

• After late-night consultations in New Delhi, former Delhi captain Mithun Manhas, nominated by the Jammu & Kashmir association, has emerged as the frontrunner to succeed Roger Binny, with his nomination expected before the Sept. 21 cutoff.
• The senior men’s selection committee is set for changes effective Sept. 28, with Pragyan Ojha to replace S. Sharath and RP Singh to replace Subroto Banerjee, while the current panel will pick the squad for the home West Indies Tests starting Oct. 2.
• Continuity is expected in key roles, with Devajit Saikia to continue as secretary and Rajeev Shukla as vice-president, and Arun Dhumal’s continuation as IPL chairman under legal review for cooling-off eligibility.
