Mithun Manhas Elected Unopposed as BCCI President at 94th AGM

Delegates confirmed a consensus leadership team, revamping national selection in moves that set up the board for the year ahead.

  • Manhas was chosen as a consensus candidate and succeeds Roger Binny as the board’s 37th president following the Mumbai meeting.
  • Rajeev Shukla (vice-president), Devajit Saikia (secretary), Prabhtej Singh Bhatia (joint secretary) and A. Raghuram Bhat (treasurer) were elected unopposed.
  • Former internationals RP Singh and Pragyan Ojha joined the men’s selection committee under chief selector Ajit Agarkar, replacing S. Sharath and Subroto Banerjee.
  • Amita Sharma was appointed chair of the women’s selection panel alongside new members Jaya Sharma and Sravanthi Naidu, with their tenure to begin after the Women’s World Cup.
  • The General Body adopted audited accounts for 2024–25 and approved the 2025–26 budget, reinforcing administrative continuity and funding for domestic priorities.
