Australia's Mitchell Starc became the most expensive signing in the history of the Indian Premier League (IPL) after being bought by Kolkata Knight Riders for nearly $3 million.
Australia captain Pat Cummins was also a record-breaking signing, being bought by Sunrisers Hyderabad for nearly $2.5 million.
Both players were part of Australia's World Cup-winning team last month.
New Zealand's Daryl Mitchell was bought by Chennai Super Kings for $1.68 million, 10 times his base price.
England's Harry Brook was bought by Delhi Capitals for around £380,000, while Chris Woakes joined Punjab Kings for approximately £420,000.
