Overview

• CSFD responded around 7:45 a.m. to the east-side Colorado Springs campus after a cell phone began smoking and releasing fumes.
• The school was evacuated as hazmat teams performed air monitoring and safety checks inside the building.
• Crews evaluated students, with several reporting dizziness, and no one was transported to the hospital.
