• In May a Supreme Court jury acquitted Forth of murder but convicted him of manslaughter over the October 2022 fatal pole attack on 15-year-old Cassius Turvey
• His appeal documents assert the guilty verdict is unreasonable given that he did not deliver the fatal blow
• The filings also describe the nine-year manslaughter term as manifestly excessive in light of Forth’s limited involvement
• Forth’s total 12-year sentence was backdated to January 2023 and currently makes him eligible to apply for parole in January 2033
