Missouri Man Pleads Guilty to Three Felonies for Role in Jan. 6 Capitol Attack

Christopher Brian Roe, caught wielding a pitchfork and assaulting police at the Jan. 6, 2021 insurrection, becomes the 24th Missouri defendant convicted in connection to the event; sentencing set for March 2024.

  • Christopher Brian Roe, 39, from Raytown suburb, Kansas City, Missouri has pleaded guilty to three counts of assaulting, resisting and impeding certain officers during the Jan 6, 2021 Capitol riot.
  • Roe, who attended the 'Stop the Steal' rally in Washington, D.C., was carrying a pitchfork, zip ties and duck tape during the insurrection.
  • Roe attempted to enter the Capitol three times, wielded his pitchfork at police on the western front of the Capitol and used a metal bike rack to break open a door.
  • Roe becomes the 24th Missourian defendant to be convicted in connection with the Capitol riot. Court processes for 12 other Missourians remain ongoing.
  • Roe's sentencing is due to take place on March 5, 2024.
