Missouri Man Charged After Allegedly Stabbing Father 50 Times

Jeffrey Goedde, 41, turned himself in to authorities, claiming he 'accidentally' killed his 75-year-old father during a violent altercation.

Jeffrey Goedde confessed to the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office on December 18, admitting to stabbing his father, Edward Goedde, approximately 50 times.
An autopsy revealed the victim suffered multiple injuries, including stab wounds, broken bones, strangulation marks, and blunt force trauma to the head, face, and back.
Police discovered the elder Goedde's body face down in the kitchen of his home, where officers noted a strong smell of bleach and found a kitchen knife believed to be the murder weapon in a nearby trash can.
Goedde claimed he could not recall all details of the attack but described the incident as a 'mistake' and requested an attorney after turning himself in.
He is being held without bond and faces charges of first-degree murder and armed criminal action, with a preliminary hearing scheduled for January 16.
