Mississippi Sets Saturday Hours for Final In-Person Absentee Voting Before Nov. 4 Special Elections

Officials say the limited window aims to ensure absentee options ahead of mail deadlines.

  • Circuit clerk offices statewide will open Saturday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. for in-person absentee voting, according to the Mississippi Secretary of State.
  • Saturday is the last day to cast an absentee ballot in person before the Nov. 4 special elections.
  • All mail-in absentee ballots must be postmarked by Tuesday, Nov. 4.
  • Ballots feature the District 26 State Senate race covering parts of Hinds and Madison counties and the Hinds County coroner race.
  • Justice Court Judge contests are also on ballots in Madison County (Judge 3) and Rankin County (District 3).
