Mississippi Boy, 11, Fatally Shot by Sister in Hunting Accident

An 11-year-old boy in Mississippi was fatally shot in the head by his 12-year-old sister in a hunting accident while they were hunting rabbits at their grandmother's house.
The boy handed his .22-caliber rifle to his sister, but stood up as she pulled the trigger.
The boy was initially transported to Forrest General Hospital in critical condition, and was later transferred to University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, where he died.
The boy's organs will be donated, potentially saving the lives of other children.
The Jones County Sheriff's Department and Mississippi’s Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks are investigating the incident.
