Olsen was reported missing when a park ranger found a note on his vehicle indicating he was overdue by more than two weeks.
Authorities discovered Olsen's body on Saturday morning, although the exact cause of death remains under investigation.
Olsen was a former park ranger at Hearst San Simeon State Park and was passionate about nature and educating others about the outdoors.
