Overview

• Jennifer Hanie, a 31-year-old woman, was reported missing by her boyfriend early Friday morning on January 26, 2024, and was found dead over three hours later on the sands of Manhattan Beach.
• The Manhattan Beach Police Department responded to reports of a missing person at approximately 6:41 am, and Hanie was reported missing by her boyfriend, who last saw her near the water line.
• At around 10:13 am, Los Angeles County Lifeguards found a deceased female on the sand near the 1300 block of the waterline, who was identified as Jennifer Hanie.
• The cause of Hanie's death has not been disclosed and the case is still under investigation by the Manhattan Beach Police Department.
