• Houston police said the body of 20-year-old Jade McKissic was found at 4998 Spur 5 on Sept. 15.
• The Harris County medical examiner identified her remains on Thursday, according to an HPD spokesperson.
• McKissic was a University of Houston student reported missing after she was last seen on Sept. 11.
• She was last observed leaving the 3700 block of North MacGregor Way wearing a black tank top and black shorts.
• Investigators have not determined the cause of death and the inquiry remains open.
