Missing Texas Hiker Found Alive in Big Bend National Park

Christy Perry survived over a week in the park by drinking rainwater, following a massive search and rescue operation.

Christy Perry, a 25-year-old hiker, was found alive in Big Bend National Park in Texas after being missing since November 9.
Perry was found awake and able to speak with rescue crews, and was transported to a hospital in Odessa, Texas for medical care.
Searchers from multiple agencies, including the National Park Service, U.S. Border Patrol, and Texas Department of Public Safety, were involved in the rescue operation.
Perry had been on a planned vacation and did not share her itinerary with anyone. Her vehicle was found at the trailhead of the Lost Mine Trail.
Perry survived by drinking rainwater during her time missing in the park.
