- A body was recovered from water near Kinloch Hourn shortly before 1pm on June 2 during the search for Bernard Trottet.
- Trottet, 65, was last seen on May 27 at Corryhully Bothy after embarking on the rugged, unmarked Cape Wrath Trail.
- Police Scotland coordinated air support and mountain rescue teams to navigate the 200-mile route’s remote terrain and river crossings.
- Officials said Trottet was wearing an orange Arc’teryx jacket, black walking trousers, a green baseball cap and carrying a light grey backpack.
- His family has been informed and authorities will submit a report to the Procurator Fiscal once formal identification is complete.
