Missing Scottish Cat Found 300 Miles Away in Coventry

Beans, a ginger and white cat, was reunited with his owners thanks to a microchip after being discovered in the West Midlands.

Beans, the cat from Cumbernauld, Scotland, disappeared in late October and was found weeks later in Coventry, England.
The cat's owners, Cara and Colin McBurnie, were initially unable to locate him despite extensive local searches.
Kelly Ryan, a local resident in Coventry, noticed Beans frequenting her outdoor cat box and eventually contacted Cats Protection.
Beans was identified through his microchip, allowing Cats Protection to notify the McBurnies of his location.
The McBurnies completed a 600-mile round trip to bring Beans home, emphasizing the importance of microchipping pets.
