Missing Sailor Noel Rubio Safely Arrives in Hawaii

After a month-long disappearance and a widespread search effort, 60-year-old Noel Rubio and his sailboat Malulani have safely reached Hawaii.

The U.S. Coast Guard initiated a search for Rubio after he failed to arrive as planned and lost contact.
Rubio's delay was attributed to a slower transit time than anticipated, with his last known contact being on the day of his departure.

Rubio and his 32-foot Westsail sloop, Malulani, arrived in Hawaii on February 3, safely making contact with his family.
