Missing Prospectors' Bodies Discovered in Queensland Outback

The bodies of a man and woman were found after an extensive search following their disappearance during a gold prospecting trip.

The deceased, a 65-year-old man from Toowoomba and a 69-year-old woman from New South Wales, were last seen leaving a Croydon caravan park.
Authorities launched a land and air search after the pair failed to return from prospecting at Esmeralda Station.
Their Toyota Hilux was found with personal belongings, including mobile phones, left inside.
The bodies were located by a helicopter just 2.5 kilometers from their vehicle.
Queensland's heatwave conditions, with temperatures reaching nearly 40 degrees Celsius, may have contributed to their deaths.
