Missing Michigan Travel Nurse Found Dead in California

Ann Marie Herford's body was discovered in a dense forest area in Sierra Nevada, with authorities not suspecting foul play.

66-year-old Michigan woman, Ann Marie Herford, who went missing while hiking in California’s Sierra Nevada was found dead.
Herford was a travel nurse and was temporarily in California for a job at a hospital in Sonora.
Herford’s car was found parked near the Lakemont Drive access to the trail.
Her body was located by deputies of the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office and the Calaveras County Volunteer Search and Rescue Team.
The investigation currently indicates that her tragic death is not suspicious.
