- Police, relatives, and friends had been searching since Tuesday after 65-year-old Janet Michels left her home in Grosse Pointe Farms.
- She was first spotted around 6:30 a.m. Wednesday near Wyoming and Michigan Avenue in Detroit, appearing cold and with a scraped knee.
- The Good Samaritan later approached her again, obtained a phone number, and reached Michels’ husband.
- Family members met her outside the Mi Pueblo restaurant at Dix and Stair, and she is now back home recovering.
- Investigators said multiple witness tips helped track her movements after an endangered-missing alert was issued.
