Missing Georgia Man Found Dead in Rental House Chimney

Anthony Rumplik, missing since late December, was discovered by his roommate; an autopsy is pending as the investigation continues.

Anthony Rumplik, a 43-year-old man missing since late December, was found dead in the chimney of his rental house in Macon, Georgia.
The body was discovered by Rumplik's roommate who noticed a ladder leaning against the house and a blanket in the chimney.
Rumplik's family from Ohio had recently visited Macon to search for him. His sister last heard from him on Dec. 28.
Rumplik's landlord had reported him missing after finding the door to his rental house open and considering it suspicious.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation will conduct an autopsy and deputies continue to investigate the case.
