Missing Georgia Boy Found Safe After 7 Years; Mother and Stepfather Arrested

Authorities discovered Abdul Aziz Khan, now 14, in Colorado during a burglary investigation, leading to the arrest of his mother and her husband on multiple charges.

Abdul Aziz Khan, who disappeared in 2017 at the age of 7, was found safe in Highlands Ranch, Colorado, on February 23, 2025.
His mother, Rabia Khalid, and her husband, Elliot Blake Bourgeois, were arrested and face numerous charges, including kidnapping, forgery, and identity theft.
The discovery was made during a routine trespassing investigation, where deputies identified discrepancies in the suspects' stories and uncovered Khalid's outstanding warrant for kidnapping.
Authorities believe Khalid abducted Khan after a custody dispute in 2017, during which she fled after it appeared the boy's father would be awarded custody.
Khan and another child found with the suspects are in protective custody, with a court set to determine their placement as the investigation continues.
