• The Festival del Dulce y Turrón de Doña Pepa runs Oct. 4–8 from 11:00 to 20:00 at Pasaje Porta in Miraflores, opposite Kennedy Park, with more than 15 artisanal producers.
• Visitors will find the classic anise-scented confection alongside innovations including purple-corn, vegan, and keto versions, plus cacao, coffee and fruit-forward varieties.
• Actor Tito Vega says he will make his debut as a turrón producer at this year’s edition.
• The fair also features traditional sweets and breads from multiple Peruvian regions, positioning the gathering as a cultural as well as gastronomic draw.
• The October surge in turrón reflects its link to the Señor de los Milagros processions and the oral tradition of Doña Pepa, with the standard recipe built on crisp anise dough, chancaca honey and colorful sprinkles.
