Overview

  • The Tokyo Olympic silver medallist totaled 193kg (84kg snatch, 109kg clean & jerk) to set Commonwealth Championship records in all three marks.
  • Competing in Ahmedabad, she made her first appearance in the 48kg class since 2018 after moving down from 49kg under the reworked categories.
  • She completed three of six attempts, missing her opening 84kg snatch and a 113kg clean & jerk with signs of right-knee discomfort.
  • Malaysia’s Irene Henry won silver with 161kg and Wales’ Nikole Roberts took bronze with 150kg in the women’s 48kg field.
