Minor Fires Hit Mumbai’s Crawford Market and Thane Auto Firm With No Injuries

Officials reported swift containment with no injuries, with investigations underway.

  • The Mumbai Fire Brigade declared a Level-I fire at Crawford Market at 2:28 am and fully extinguished it by about 4:00 am.

  • Separately, a blaze was reported around 8:20 pm Tuesday at MS Auto Company in Thane’s Shilphata area; officials deployed engines and support units, reported no injuries, and said the cause remains under inquiry.
