Minnesota Wild Extend Goalie Jesper Wallstedt with 2-Year, $4.4M Deal

The 21-year-old prospect secures his future with the team as he prepares for a larger role in upcoming seasons.

Jesper Wallstedt, drafted 20th overall by the Wild in 2021, has signed a two-year contract extension starting in the 2025-26 season.
Wallstedt made his NHL debut last season, becoming the youngest goalie in Wild history, and recorded a win and a shutout in three games.
The Swedish goaltender also played 45 games in the AHL with a 2.70 goals-against average and a .910 save percentage.
Despite being behind veterans Marc-Andre Fleury and Filip Gustavsson, Wallstedt is expected to have a more prominent role in the future.
The Wild plan to carry three goaltenders this season, with Wallstedt potentially playing in the AHL as needed.
