The incident began with a 911 call reporting a sexual assault, leading to a predawn response from law enforcement and first responders.
Officers Paul Elmstrand and Matthew Ruge, both 27, and firefighter/paramedic Adam Finseth, 40, were killed in the incident. Sgt. Adam Medlicott was wounded but is recovering.
The standoff concluded when Gooden shot himself in the head after a prolonged exchange of gunfire with police.
