Minnesota QB Athan Kaliakmanis Enters Transfer Portal

Backup QB Cole Kramer and Freshman Drew Viotto Also Announce Transfer Intentions

  • Minnesota's starting quarterback, Athan Kaliakmanis, has announced his intention to enter the transfer portal with two years of eligibility remaining.
  • Kaliakmanis had a mixed performance this season, completing 53.1% of his passes for 1,838 yards, 14 touchdowns and nine interceptions in 12 games.
  • Backup quarterback Cole Kramer, who has one season of eligibility left, and freshman Drew Viotto have also announced their intention to transfer.
  • Max Brosmer, who led the FCS in passing yards and was second in touchdown passes at New Hampshire, has entered the transfer portal and received a scholarship offer from Minnesota.
  • Several other players from different teams, including ten from Michigan State and North Carolina junior defensive lineman Kedrick Bingley-Jones, have also entered the transfer portal.
