Minnesota Man on Parole Accused of Killing Pregnant Wife

Mychel Stowers, recently released from prison, is wanted for the murder of Damara Alexis Kirkland and linked to a nearby carjacking.

Stowers, 36, was paroled in March for a 2008 murder and was living at a halfway house on work release.
Police found Kirkland, 35, dead in her apartment with ultrasound photos nearby; she was two months pregnant.
Shortly after the murder, a carjacking occurred nearby, involving a suspect matching Stowers' description.
The same gun was used in both Kirkland's murder and the carjacking incident, according to preliminary analysis.
Stowers contacted authorities expressing a desire to surrender but has not yet turned himself in.
